This
review is for “Trust (Running with Alphas Book 1)” by Viola
Rivard.
Here
is the official description:
Just
when she thinks her life can’t get any worse, Taylor meets alpha
wolf Alder—the most caring, gallant, and handsome man on the
planet. On the run from the police, there’s no way she could
possibly get involved with him. But somehow she does anyway.
Alder seems to be convinced that the two of them are going to live happily ever after in his mountain territory. But between looming pack wars, her dicey past, and his twin brother—the most obnoxious, sadistic, and handsome man on the planet—Taylor has a feeling that her new life among werewolves may be just as complicated as her human one.

MY SPOILER *
While
on the run, Taylor sees a very handsome man. Yet she is on the run so
she takes off. Alder of course notices her too and follows. <smirk>
He convinces her to get in his truck and down the road they go. When
faced with a police roadblock, he takes off and heads towards his
home. He is trying to get her to trust him with the truth because he
feels that she is The One. However all her life has been one lie
after another so how can she trust him? She has never had a home to
call her own...will she be able to tell him the complete and honest
truth?
Alder
has his own secret that he needs to share if he wants to gain her
trust. Once he does, how will she react? Not like he expected that's
for certain! But now, he has other issues that need his attention.
What has his twin done this time? How can he make Taylor feel safe
and protected?
This
is book 1 of a series – you will need to read this one first so
that you are not confused by the later books.
Here
is my honest review of this book:
Just
like the other Viola Rivard stories I have read, this was a pleasure.
Viola's writing can take your imagination for a ride and it's a fun
trip! I could literally see the way the clerk was looking at Taylor.
As well as the beautiful landscape that Taylor and Alder travel
through to get to his den. I can also understand his hesitation in
telling her what/who he is. But if he is going to follow through and
mate with her...she will have to know.
